It's hard to believe it has been a year since the little man came into the world! It is amazing to look back and see the drastic changes Cooper has gone through in just one year. Cooper is one amazing baby and he has brought so much happiness to not only us but everyone he comes in contact with. Not a day goes by when both Mike and I stop and think about how grateful we are for him in our lives and how he got here. Every day in June we would talk about what we were doing that day one year ago. We reminisced about the good times we had getting to know Jordan and Joe and how grateful we were for the time we had with them. We also reminisced about how crazy the timing was with Cooper's birth but as crazy as it all was everything fell into place perfectly. We know Cooper and the people who made everything possible came into our lives for a reason and we love you so much! Thank you for the love and support you have given us and for the lessons you have taught us this year!
We were sad not to be able to meet up with the Jordans and their families for Cooper's birthday so we wanted to share as much as we could and hopefully we will be able to get together soon!
What We Did:
Something that was really important to me to do for Cooper's birthday was to make a really rocking cake for him so I took 4 months of classes to accomplish that goal. Since we were going to be out of town for Cooper's real birthday I made the cake before we left and we did a small celebration. He got to open presents and he got to dig into the top tier of the cake and eat as much as he wanted but we're afraid he didn't eat much of the cake. He ate much more fondant and icing and I'm not even kidding when I tell you that he pooped blue for about 2 or 3 days! Then in California we basically celebrated his birthday every day for the next week because every day is like a birthday when you're having that much fun right? : ) On Cooper's real birthday we went to an aquarium where he got to play in the touch pools. He got to touch a starfish, a sea anemone and play with seashells. They had the cutest play area for kids with a water trampoline, slides, tunnels to crawl through and dress up clothes to dress up like different fish. Cooper especially loved the water trampoline. Cooper loved watching the sharks and jelly fish too! After the aquarium we went to the beach and played in the sand and water. He got to stay up late to blow out his candle and eat chocolate pie. Below are pictures of his cake smash celebration and some of the aquarium.
Happy Birthday to Cooper and Happy One Year to Jordan and Joe! You are all so loved!
